One of California’s premier golf destinations, Sand Canyon country club is nestled at the base of the Angeles National Forest offering breathtaking views of the Santa Clarita Valley.

First off, I am very critical of customer service. Haven't played this course since its was Robinson Ranch. Had a 6:30 AM start time. Freeway accessible, great parking, towel buckets had fresh water unlike LA city courses. Check in was quick, starter very informative, carts were great, course was challenging but fair with a 127 Slope rating from white tees. Tee boxes are very overgrown but not an issue. I read the negative reviews but didn't experience any of the complaints they had. We had a great time and the views were very nice. Im already looking forward to going back again soon.

Sand Canyon Country Club's booth at the 2024 Taste of the Town was amazing and their chips were delicious. Really nice that they are active in the community and support the Child & Family Center annual fundraiser.

Very picturesque course, With 3 Courses with 9 holes each. With each course presenting its own challenges. Just remember to bring extra golf balls.

Played here today for the very first time! It’s was great, we played the dessert(awesome) and mountain course. Both very good with great views and very challenging. The Valley course was too busy or else we would have played it. Nestled away in the mountains. Lovely clubhouse and very nice pro shop. Everyone was helpful and the best part was no one was their rushing us. The course was wide open! I will definitely be back to play many more times in the future.

This place is coming back really nicely. I’ve played there many times over the past 20 years. For the past 6-7 years it’s been a mess due to droughts and the fire. But I come back every once in a while and am pleased to report that the course condition is nearly back to it’s top level. Fairways, greens and tee boxes all look great. I’m an admitted golf snob and play top courses and avoid munis. And this place now lives up to that high standard. They still need to fix the driving range but I understand they’re working on that. But conditions are great, people are friendly and if you’re looking for a high level course with great design and condition, there isn’t a better public one anywhere in the L.A. area. Keep it up!

This is probably the best driving range i’ve been to. Very clean and peaceful. Their pro shop is great and the bar has great service at an affordable price. They have everyday happy hour 2 to 6 pm. To play a round of golf is expensive, but to hit some balls, there’s no better place in Santa clarita.

I got married here 4 years ago, back when it was called Robinson Ranch, and decided to come visit again. My husband and I hit the range and had so much fun! I’ve never golfed before, but have definitely found a new hobby. Every staff member we came across was more than helpful and polite. The bartender was extremely friendly and made awesome drinks. We also ordered some bites off their happy hour menu, they were very tasty.
We cannot wait to come back!

Sand Canyon Country Club is by far one of the best public golf courses in LA county with there challenging three nine lay out mixed with great views, a great clubhouse along with a great snack bar serving up great food and drinks! You can’t go wrong here, staff is attentive, pro shop has a great selection of clothing, clubs and accessories, Mark the head pro is a true gem, never disappoints with he’s great attitude and love for the game. Will always recommend to friends and family! Viva Sand Canyon Country Club!

In my opinion this is the best public golf course in the LA county. The course was recently renovated so the greens and fairways are in great shape! The staff is super nice and helpful. Big s/o to the head Pro Mark Kagaoan and to all the awesome people in the snack shop!
Check it out and thank me later!

Attended New Years Eve Celebration December 31, 2018
Went with wife and two friends. Offered appetizers, with salmon and steak entree. Mixed drink bar, you could run a tab or pay as you ordered your drink. Drinks were good and the bartender knew how to mix drinks.
Food was satisfactory. Service by the staff adequate. I believe the staff was new and will get better with time. This venue recently changed hands and management is trying to improve the venue.
There was a DJ that played a great selection of music. I believe that it was not a sell out for the venue. However there were only a few seats open. Everyone seemed to have a good time.
I will be there next New Years Eve.

Played your course many times with Phil London. Played today and the course
was in the best shape I’ve seen in over a decade. Great job!

This review is for the driving range (we haven’t hit a round of golf here yet).
We love this driving range. I kind of hate to reveal this gem to others. They just redid it with *SHADE* and pretty green turf. The price for a large bucket of balls is a deal. Also, love that kids are welcome here (have found age restrictions at other local driving ranges). The putting green is also beautiful with 6-8 holes.
There is a dress code I believe; collared shirts, no jeans. Who doesn’t love to get a little fancy every now and then?
They’re doing a lot of work here, making it even more amazing.
Not to mention, wonderful, friendly golf pros and staff!!

This course is challenging and in good shape it was an all around an amazing round of golf
I play all over LA and this course for going through two fires is in OUTSTANDING shape.
I put it up with Moorpark, Tierra , and industry hills..
the price it’s great .
All fairways but one maybe 2 were in great shape, not hard pack and dry like Most courses in La greens were great( little slow) but played true… they just need to roll them daily and speed them up a bit
. Tee boxes need a little Work but over all good course.
areas around the greens had grass and you were able to get a good chip shot ( unlike most LA courses )…
for whoever is writing bad reviews about this place I’m unsure where u played cuz I thought it was a great track and I pla 1-2 times a week.. YES they are doing a lot of work along the edges and what not but fairways greens were great ( bunkers just need more sand)
I will be back weekly for the price and lay out. it’s outstanding..
it’s also under new ownership so it’s only going to get better.. do yourself a favor and go out and play here. it’s fun, in good shape and pace of play was great 3 hours for a 2 some.

This is probably our Best Easter Brunch Ever! What a wonderful experience and memorable event. They had an Easter Bunny who walked the children out to the putting green to look for eggs. We were worried that we didn’t have a basket and behold they had baskets for the kids! My 10 & 7 year old had so much fun searching for eggs and my older kids enjoyed the backdrop of the Mountain View.
The food was delicious. The service was beyond hospitable. The owner came and greeted us as well. We will definitely make this an Easter tradition as well as come for brunch on other days. Thank you Sand Canyon Golf Club. I recommend this location

The course is coming along great!
Mark, the staff and members make you feel at home.
Stop in the cafe for above average food, I like the breakfast burrito. It has a full bar before your round or on the turn.
The 19th hole is a great place to settle up any wagers. The beautiful clubhouse overlooks the 9th & 18th greens. It has an open deck on the second floor to to enjoy a sweet cigar. The staff in the restaurant/bar provide excellent service and a great happy hour. You cannot go wrong with the RR burger.
If you’re looking to join a club with a beautiful facility, and a recognized challenging course, look no further.
If you’re serious about improving your golf game and looking for a down-to-earth and knowledgeable PGA pro, Mark is the man.
Overall, the 36 hole, RR Golf Course holds a high standard & tests your accuracy. Judging from experience, RRGC definitely plays like a private, i.e, TPC Valencia, Valencia CC.
Lastly, my boy Calvin’s review is completely spot on.

The Mother’s Day Brunch was excellent. So many choices from a fresh seafood display, to all the specialty stations, plus two carving stations. In addition to a wonderful breakfast there was a huge selection of desserts. Staff was friendly and the service was great. The price was right for all the food offered. Keep it in mind for next year. The country club is not private and open to the public.

Played here yesterday and like others, I saw the course when they first reopened and was worried. Luckily they have this place close to what it once was and on its way to being even better (make that way better). The grass is growing in great, and the ball is holding again. Yes, there are some brown spots but that you can tell it is going to come in. I don’t think i really saw any dirt piles any more, and the pitcher of beer games on some of the holes is very cool. Mark, Jordan and the staff are awesome and pleasant. Best value around!
